Every year the second year students of the Digital Arts and New Media program at Selkirk College host a year end art show. Alongside several other classmates, I developed the branding and collateral for the show. My roll was primarily the brand creation, logo development, and style guide — I then assisted in creating collateral such as invitations, posters, signage, and programs.
The logo is a nod to the tech nerd in all design students, stemming from the iMessage bubble, comic books, and the general idea of communication. The ‘cut out’ effect of the logo type was highlighted with cut vinyl signage and thermographic printed invitations.
